He started his career at Korean Air's international financial team and became the youngest partner in his 30s at McKinsey & Company, a world’s leading consulting company, where he worked for 14 years from 1993. He moved around many cities such as Seoul, New York, Shanghai, Toronto, etc. for consulting. In 2007, he moved to Singapore and worked for six years at Standard Chartered Bank as the group's strategic head, head of China's retail banking unit and chief operating officer of the group's retail banking unit. At A.T. Kearney he worked at Australia, Japan, China, South Korea, Southeast Asia and India as the head of the Asian financial division for three years. For the past two years, he has served as the group's strategic director and led overall business development at NURI Management and moved to Boston Consulting Group Singapore earlier this year as a partner.

For the past 28 years, he has traveled around the world as a global financial consultant and entrepreneur. He studied international economics at Seoul National University and earned MBA at UC Berkeley.
