Biographies
After studying business administration at Seoul National University, he became a journalist. After working at the Maeil Business Newspaper, he went to the United States, where he earned a master's degree and a Ph.D. in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh. It is the first Korean to receive a diploma from abroad with the theme of Corporate Social Responsibility. After working as a journalist for 20 years, he changed his career direction and joined Pulmuone. He managed the US branch of Pulmone for 10 years, and led business normalization and merger & acquisition. At that time, he was remembered among American employees as a leader who made a happy workplace. In accordance with his belief that "I will finish my career as a service to the public interest", he moved to the Office of the State Planning and Coordination Department in 2014 and improved about 7,800 regulations as a Regulatory Coordinator for three years. After retirement, he worked as an English volunteer for two months at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics. He has launched the World Knowledge Forum hosted by Maeil Newspaper, and also the Chief Adviser of the Conference Window.
